Kari (The Hunt) is a 4 colour risograph in fluroscent red, light teal, yellow and blue ink, printed on Munken Lynx 240gsm paper.

Ushi-oni (Cow-Ogre) and Nure Onna (Serpent Lady) hunt together as they try to take down a ferocious Baboon-like monster Hihi. Inspired by Toriyama Sekien’s illustration of Hihi in Konjaku Gazu Zoku Hyakki.

Nanami Takeuchi aka Nana Sometimes Draws draws inspiration from Japanese mythology and folklore to explore her heritage, creating new narratives for well-loved and lesser-known mythical creatures. Drawing with traditional brush pens, fine liners and anything that will create interesting textures. Riso printing brings her great joy, she enjoys seeing the lines and textures translate to print in these bold fluorescent colours depicting cute and slightly gruesome scenes.

The quality of the case is really great. Plum color is beautiful. However, the keyboard is not the best quality. The keys are not sensitive enough and you can easily misspell words if you don’t click a key hard enough. The trackpad shortcuts are cool but inconvenient since you can turn off the shortcuts. You can turn off the trackpad but that just doesn’t work for me.
