The Glatz Alu-Smart® 2.4 x 2.4m Square Parasol - The flexible sunshade.

Keep cool and protected in the sun with the ALU-SMART® parasol - ideal for dining sets with a conventional parasol centre hole or simply place in any location you desire for outdoor shade.

A newcomer to the renowned Swiss company, GLATZ, the ALU-SMART® is one of the smallest products in the sunshade range but has much to offer.  When space is tight, one thing is for sure: this sunshade is smart!  The cover can easily be opened and closed with an easy slide.

The ALU-SMART® fits with any architectural style whilst providing a modern touch with its elegant fabric border.  

Material and Technology

The frame is made of natural anodized aluminium.  Profiled pole and tilt joint; the height is fully adjustable. The fabric UPF50+ sun protection cover is replaceable and self-tautening thanks to the flexible rod ends.

With the “UV Protection” test label, GLATZ guarantees maximum possible UV protection of more than 98 percent for all sunshade fabric covers in the fabric class 2.

Operation

Open the ALU-SMART® by pushing the slide to the top until it locks into place. Use the tilt joint to angle the cover. You can also adjust the height.

Great characters!

A great story line that crosses over many different SW titles. I really enjoyed BT and 000 in Vader’s and Aphra’s titles, getting to see them in a great team like this is a real treat. With the Ewok TPB coming out soon, here’s hoping marvel continues making titles from the rich background characters of the world. Serious and Funny at the Same time

3-4 ABY This graphic novel is four issues and fills the reader in on events during a special Star Wars Crossover called Dark Droids, of which includes issues from Star Wars (2020), Doctor Aphra, Darth Vader, and Bounty Hunters. In D-Squad, R2-D2 is on a mission to find a way to save his friend, C-3PO, who has been taken over by the Spark Eternal. Apparently, droids are far easier to corrupt than organic life forms, and the Spark makes its way through many droids. Along the way, R2 finds a mis-matched crew of droids to help bring the Spark's scourge to an end. Ultimately seeking the help of Ajax Sigma, a droid from the High Republic era whose core is later found by Han and Chewbacca, and he is rebuilt in the age of the Empire. R2 believes Ajax's core and experience over various centuries might be enough to end the Spark's scourge. I love the art in this collection. One can't really go wrong with droids. We get some fan favorites from across the various series, as well as some new characters and old friends. The dialogue is, as you can imagine between beep-booping droids, quite top tier. Overall, it was a really fun edition and setup for the crossover.

A disappointing "Dark Droids" tie-in.

A tie-in miniseries-of-sorts to the main “Dark Droids” event, “Star Wars: Dark Droids: D-Squad” is, unfortunately, all too characteristic of typical comic book event “addendums”: lots of flash, little substance. To be fair, writer Marc Guggenheim does what he can to flesh out the core story, which involves a squad of droids, all of whom are pulled from the various ongoing “Star Wars” titles – forming the titular “D-Squad” – to take on the Scourge threat from the main “Dark Droids” event. The problem is that too much of the series feels like it’s spinning in circles – there’s a frustrating lack of narrative momentum here, and the result is a story that, frustratingly, revs to life only in spurts. Not a terrible comic, but considering the overall quality of the “Dark Droids” event as a whole, a disappointing one.
