This flat-profile band is roughly 4mm wide and sand cast in sterling silver. The texture is formed by carving wax, then pressing it into sand before molten silver is poured — leaving behind a pattern that’s organic, unpredictable, and softly rugged.
Seven cubic zirconia stones in a random pattern are flush-set across approximately one-third of the ring, following the contours of the texture. Each stone nestles into its own tiny crevice, creating a subtle shimmer that shifts with the light.
Each ring is one of a kind. The texture and exact stone placement will vary every time, making your piece truly individual. Please send me your ring size when ordering the ring.
This version is made in sterling silver, but if you’d prefer yellow, rose, or white gold — or wish to use natural gemstones like sapphires, rubies, or diamonds — then please message me and we can start a conversation.
Handmade in Auckland.

Helpful and interesting introduction
Format: Paperback
This is a good quick introduction. A good supplement to a course on modernist literature or art. What is important is that it shows the Modernist project as something that encompassed art, literature, psychology, science, and politics--in other words, it contextualizes the movement.

So glad I bought this!
Format: Paperback
I am a lit teacher at an independent school, and was able to use this book to link the literature and the art of the modern movement. My students loved this project - they made their own artwork for a display at school!

Very good comprehensive introduction to Modernism
Format: Kindle
Very good comprehensive introduction to Modernism. Only not too helpful for me at the moment becasue I was looking for something more specific. Butler has this wonderful ability to make connections between the arts. He constructs a bigger picture of the Modern movement where many forms are interlinked, influenced and informed one another. He also has a longer book Early Modernism that might be more helpful if you are looking for indepth and moe detailed discussions.
