ABOUT ALFRED WISE: Alfred Wise (1908 ‰ÛÒ1985) spent most of his working life as a botanical artist-in-residence, engaged at RHS Wisley, Surrey. A prolific painter he created over 1,000 watercolour paintings of selected plants, often of those winning prestigious medals and awards of merit at RHS flower shows. Wise was a true eccentric and loner - living in a ramshackle caravan in the grounds at RHS Wisley, surrounded by his brushes, paints and his beloved artwork ‰ÛÓan individualist's artists paradise in an idyllic location.

• The deckchair slings are made from very hard wearing canvas polyester sail cloth, and printed using state-of-the-art technology. Hard wearing and durable.
• The frames are made with FSC Beech Hardwood, treated with teak oil which provides excellent protection against the elements, extends the working life, and enhances the natural appearance.
• Our deckchairs have a cross-section of 22mm x 47mm providing far greater strength than most spindly, wobbly deckchairs.

This item, along with our deckchairs, is now are made of beech wood, resulting in a lighter to carry, but just as sturdy item.
