Railway enthusiasts will be well acquainted with the celebrated railway photographer Ivo Peters, BEM (1915-1989) who spent his life in Bath, Somerset and devoted a lot of his time photographing his beloved Somerset and Dorset Railway. Educated at Cambridge, he was also interested and took part in road racing events. He served in WWII, continuing afterwards in the Royal Observer Corps, during which time he was awarded the British Empire Medal. In 1948, his interests returned to serious railway photography and apart from his love of the S & DR, his work was not restricted to that area and he toured the length and breadth of the country recording the steam railways, where he and his 4.25 litre Mk. VI Bentley, NHY 581 were a familiar lineside sight.

The Bentley Mk. VI 4-door standard steel sports saloon was the first post-war luxury car from Bentley Motors (1931) Ltd., and was also the first car from Rolls-Royce with all steel coachwork to be both manufactured and assembled in the factory in Crewe, Cheshire. Between 1946 and 1952, over 5200 of these very expensive Mk. VI standard steel sports saloon cars were produced.

Our Oxford replica, with registration number NHY 581, comes in Midnight Blue with detailed features masked in silver, including the door handles, radiator grille, wheel centres, bumpers, light surrounds and the prestigious Bentley badge. The contrasting interior is moulded in pale grey with blue flooring, brown dashboard and black steering wheel.

All-Day Comfort for 10+ Hour Workdays. Finally Found a Pair That Holds Up
Size: 12, Color: Black Leather/Black, Size: 12, Color: Black Leather/Black
After years of trying different “comfortable” dress shoes, this is the first pair I’ve owned that I can wear for a full 10+ hour workday without counting down the minutes to take them off. For context, I’m a retail district manager. I’m on my feet most of the day walking stores, standing in conversations, moving constantly. I’ve owned Clarks, Rockport, and even higher-end dress shoes, and while some started out comfortable, none of them held up for an entire day without foot fatigue setting in. These Cole Haan shoes are different. What stands out: All-day comfort: No mid-day foot pain, even after long shifts. Solid construction: Genuine leather that takes and holds a polish well. Supportive sole: Noticeably helps with impact from constant walking. Great value: Performs better than shoes I’ve paid significantly more for. I also appreciate that they hit a nice middle ground stylistically; more business casual than formal, but still sharp enough for most professional environments. For additional context, I am a heavier individual and tend to wear down the outer (lateral) edge of my shoes first. That pattern holds true here as well. The only drawback: After about two months of wearing them 5 days a week (purchased January 7th), the sole shows more wear than I would expect at this point. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s the reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5. I’ll be including a comparison photo between the worn pair and a new pair for reference. That said, I still expect to get around 8–10 months of use out of them, which at this price point is more than fair. Bottom line: If you need a comfortable, reliable, and reasonably priced work shoe for long days on your feet, these outperform just about everything else I’ve tried, and that’s why I bought a second pair.

Run narrow. For very narrow feet. Wide width fits like a regular width.
