Welcome to Your Peace-Place, I Am You, Deborah Hairston offers her own overcoming experiences as a former abuse victim, the trauma is great the memories are vivid but success can still be sweet. As a victim of abuse herself, she explains that other people who had never experienced such heinous acts cannot understand the abused. It is the victims themselves who understand the indescribable pain it wrought upon their livesemotionally, physically, and financiallyso that it is better for them to motivate themselves and move on. In the end, trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ for the recovery of ones bruised self is of utmost importance, although there are groups that could help the victims of abuse with the best help of all: learning how to help yourself.
