and snow. It is April 1884 and Yuko Akita has reached his seventeenth birthday on the Island of Hokkaid in the North of Japan. The time has come to choose his vocation, warrior or monk, but against the wishes of his father, Yuko settles on a third option: he will be a poet. Yuko begins to write the seventeen-syllable poems we know as haiku--all celebrating the beauty of snow, his one great subject.
One day, the Imperial Poet arrives from the Emperor's court. He has heard about the beauty of Yuko's poems and has come to meet the young poet himself. While agreeing the poems have a music all their own, the Imperial Poet notes that lacking color, Yuko's poems are destined to remain invisible to the world. If the young poet is to learn color, he must study with the great artist Soseki in the south of Japan.
Yuko sets off on a treacherous journey across the whole of Japan. Cold, hungry, and exhausted, he encounters a vision that will forever change his life. It is a woman, frozen in the ice. With pale gold hair, ice blue eyes and a face as white as snow, the dead beauty will obsess Yuko. Who was she? How did she come to meet her death in the depths of his beloved snow?
Arriving at Soseki's door, Yuko is shocked to discover that the great master of color is blind. He will gradullay come to learn that color is not something outside of us, but within us. He will also learn about his master's Samurai past...and Soseki's link to the woman in the snow. It is a beautiful love story which will have its echo in Yuko's own as he finds his own, living, daughter of snow....
With stunning visual images created out of minimalist prose, Snow is as delicate and inspiring as the haiku poetry it celebrates and emulates. A swift and refreshing read, the novel treats readers to a gorgeous love story while gently floating ideas such as what is the nature of art and perception? What is the place of passion in art and in life? Highly romantic and gracefully written, Snow is destined to become a cult classic.

Solid Mount for a Large Monitor
Size: 17"-49", Style: Single Arm
Picked this up to mount a single 37" monitor to my adjustable desk and it’s been working great. The arm feels sturdy and holds the weight of the monitor without sagging or drifting over time.
Installation was pretty straightforward and it gave me a lot more desk space compared to using the factory stand. It also moves smoothly when adjusting the monitor position or changing desk height.
If you’re running a larger display on a standing desk setup, this is a solid option that feels much more substantial than some of the cheaper monitor arms out there.

Solid Budget Monitor Arm With a Few Trade‑Offs
Size: 13"-34", Style: Single Arm
The WALI Single Monitor Mount performs about the same as my VIVO single monitor arm, which was a pleasant surprise given the lower price point. Setup was straightforward, and the gas spring adjustment works well once dialed in. It holds my monitor securely and offers the full range of motion I expected—tilt, swivel, rotation, and height adjustments all function smoothly.
That said, the materials and overall build quality do feel a bit cheaper compared to higher‑end arms. It’s not flimsy, but you can tell where costs were saved. If you’re willing to spend roughly 60–70% more, you can definitely get a noticeably sturdier and more refined arm. Still, for a budget option, this one delivers exactly what it promises.
Pros
- Works just as well as the VIVO arm in terms of functionality
- Easy to install with both clamp and grommet options
- Gas spring provides good adjustability once set
- Excellent value for an entry‑level monitor arm
Cons
- Materials feel cheaper than premium alternatives
- Build quality isn’t as high as more expensive arms
Overall
As an introductory monitor arm, this is an excellent choice. It does everything the VIVO arm can, just with slightly lower‑end materials. If you’re on a budget or setting up a simple workstation, it’s a great fit. If you want something more robust for long‑term heavy use, spending a bit more will get you a significantly more refined Monitor arm.

Really impressed with this monitor mount. The build quality feels solid and sturdy, especially for the price. It holds the monitor securely with no sagging or wobble, and the adjustability makes it super easy to get the perfect position. It’s been absolutely perfect for my sim racing setup being able to move the screen exactly where I want it made a huge difference in comfort and immersion. Definitely feels like a premium product without the premium price tag.

Reliable, affordable, and user-friendly
Size: 13"-34", Style: Single Arm, Size: 13"-34", Style: Single Arm
The installation process was straightforward and didn’t take much time at all—even if you’re not particularly handy, it’s easy to figure out.
What really stands out is how flexible the arm is. It adjusts smoothly in multiple directions, making it simple to position my monitor exactly where I want it. Whether I’m working, watching something, or multitasking, the range of motion makes a noticeable difference in comfort and productivity.
It’s also very sturdy once set up. My monitor feels secure, and I haven’t experienced any sagging or instability. As a second screen mount, it integrates perfectly with my desk setup and helps keep everything organized and clutter-free.
