The soprano Louise Alder has been described as 'the brightest lyric soprano of the younger generation' (The Arts Desk),'a born actress' (Opera), and as having 'a voice of sparkling beauty' (Gramophone). In this her debut recording for Chandos, she and her pianist, Joseph Middleton, have devised an unusual but rewarding programme that explores the works of six contrasting composers. As she writes in her booklet note: 'When Joseph suggested making an album of Russian songs, including Russian composers who set poems in other languages, I jumped at the challenge. The more we discussed the repertoire, the more amazed I was to see how well it fitted with my own family history. In 1916 (the same year that Rachmaninoff composed the Opus 38 songs), huge political unrest forced my great-grandparents and family to flee, shutting up the house in Odessa, travelling 1,687 km north by rail to St Petersburg, and then by sleigh into Finland, through Norway, and back to Britain. It is my pleasure to be able to honor my family's Russian connection with this meandering sleigh ride through Russia, with songs in Russian, French, and German, into Finland, in Swedish, and Norway, in German, back to the UK for a cycle of Britten songs in Russian.'

Sharp Linen Suit with a Breathable Fit for Summer

This 3-piece suit is a solid option for a summer wedding or any formal event where you want a kid to look sharp without them overheating. The linen material is high quality and feels much more breathable than a standard polyester suit. The jacket, vest, and pants all fit true to size and the stitching is clean throughout. sharp Genetalman look for my Toddler

I was genuinely impressed with the quality of this 3-piece toddler linen suit. The stitching, structure, and overall tailoring give it a polished, high-end look. It doesn’t feel like a flimsy costume suit at all it actually looks like a properly tailored mini version of an adult formal outfit.
The green color is absolutely beautiful in person. It’s rich without being too loud and perfect for summer weddings, beach events, or formal family gatherings. The linen blend gives it that breathable, lightweight feel, which is ideal for warmer weather.
Now, sizing was completely my fault. I ordered a 4T for my 2-year-old (clearly wishful thinking 😅), so it runs bigger on him right now. But honestly, I’m not mad about it he’ll grow into it, and when he does, he’s going to look amazing. The slim-fit style gives it that modern, sharp look without being overly tight. It also has a working pockets which i thought was really cute
The jacket, vest, and pants together create such a classy appearance. I genuinely can’t wait for the next wedding invitation just so he can wear this.
Overall, excellent quality, beautiful color, and great craftsmanship. Easy 5 stars.

Nice Fit

Good value, soft and comfortable

Initial thoughts are very positive with this 3 pack shirt set. The green is similar to an OD military green and the black and gray are standard color shades. Material is soft and sizes are true to size. The mock turtleneck isn’t too tight but may still be a little annoying to some people. I do question the amount of spandex in these shirts. Tag says 5% but these shirts are extremely stretchy and feels like a higher spandex content. It’s also a little tough to figure out which way is the front of the shirt. Visually rhe front does have a lower collar line than the back but would still be nice to have a brand tag printed in the back of the shirt for quicker identification.
Overall for roughly $12 a shirt these are a good choice for everyday wear. I will update rating if these shirts fail to meet expectations after further use.
