The footswitch can be powered four ways: via USB-C, standard 9V DC center-negative pedal power supplies, 7-pin MIDI, or a cable connection to your amp’s footswitch jack. Such flexibility facilitates multiple one-cable setup possibilities; you’ll exponentially increase the control options of your gear without exponentially increasing the amount of cable you run! Darkglass provides ready-made MIDI templates for a quick start with select gear, and users can dive deeper into explorations of the accompanying Darkglass Suite with nuanced sublayer programming and complex MIDI messaging. The footswitch includes a 7-pin MIDI cable for Darkglass equipment, but the MIDI port accepts 5-pin MIDI cables and can even pass external messages as a MIDI thru device. Lastly, this footswitch is a drop-in substitute for the Darkglass Super Intelligent footswitch and can be passively powered through any compatible device.
