The complete system comes with a zip baffle included; this zip baffle can be used as a spare or a replacement for the system. The zip baffle is equipped with Softie Premier synthetic insulation which is washable and provides superior heat retention. The randomized fine filament fibers of Softie Premier insulation trap warm air to retain heat even when thoroughly wet. Softie Premier insulation does not lose thermal characteristics over time, even when stored in the compression stuff sack for long periods of time without use. The Special Forces Zip Baffle connects the Special Forces 1 and Special Forces 2 sleeping bags together into the complete system. Connecting the two with this zip baffle allows you to enter and exit the sleeping bags with one quick release zipper. The zip baffle weighs 10 ounces and features windproof, water repellent Paratex Light fabric. Bought this for my husband. It is a bit weighty, which makes it feel substantial.
The covering material feels like velvety suede. We got the brown one. It looks like we spent good money for it but the price was really reasonable.
He just needed something in between small and large and this was perfect for storing his glasses, watch, billfold, etc.
