The Ford E4OD transmission was designed to fit behind various powerplants including gas and diesel engines. Most failures revolve around the torque of the diesel motor, especially when power is increased over stock. The good news is that the framework of the E4OD allows for substantial increases in reliability and capability. ATS E4ODs
Features:

  • ATS Five Star Torque Converter featuring a billet cover, five lock-up clutches, available in either low or high stall configurations
  • ATS billet input shaft
  • ATS Commander Lock-Up Controller
  • ATS billet flex plate
  • High performance overdrive, intermediate and forward clutch packs, with one additional clutch added per section
  • Modified transmission pump to increase line pressure, which provides increased clamping force on the clutch packs
  • Modified valve body that focuses around precise shifts, increase line pressure and increasing the torque capacity of the E4OD
  • New bearings, seals and gaskets
  • New low roller clutch, heavy duty intermediate sprag, bonded coast and overdrive pistons
  • ATS Deep Transmission Pan which adds 5 quarts of fluid over stock, which helps keep the transmission cool

The Stage 4 package includes a billet input shaft for increased reliability when towing heavy loads, under modified power levels or street performance. The billet input shaft is designed to withstand greater torsional loads than the factory shaft, thus increasing reliability.

The shaft is made of billet 300M material and precisely machined for an exact fit. In addition, we add a lock-up controller for the torque converter on the Stage 4 setup. This allows the user to base lock-up on vehicle speed in any forward gear. This provides several benefits, including increased fuel economy, lower transmission operating temperatures and more power to the ground, at a lower speed.

This feature becomes useful in towing situations and performance applications where power at low rpms is desired. For those trucks with an exhaust brake, the controller will synchronize torque converter lock-up with the brake. This will allow the converter to stay locked on deceleration to increase braking force. The Stage 4 features the addition of a billet flex plate.

The billet flex plate is designed for high horsepower/torque trucks and those that tow heavy. The flex plate is the first point of power transfer from the motor to the transmission assembly. By using a billet steel flex plate, we can increase the reliability of power transfer from the crank to the converter. The ATS Stage 4 Package is designed for trucks that are used for light/moderate/heavy towing, greater-than-stock power levels and racing/street performance. The transmission package comes with a 5 year / 500,000 mile warranty.

I absolutely LOVE these diapers! My son is a heavy wetter, and I was very skeptical about these diapers when I read some reviews saying they leaked. For reference, he is 16 months old and 22 is lbs. On one of the hottest days we've had so far, he drank so much that he peed and it just waterfalled out of his diaper onto my lap - while our taxes were being done. That diaper had been changed about an hour prior! He was wearing a Huggies that day, which we've used pretty religiously without issue - though we had started experiencing overnight leaks. I remembered really liking the Mama Bear wipes when he was a NB, he needs something sturdier now with big baby boy poops - but definitely remembered loving the wipes, and that they were gentle on his sensitive eczema skin. After many reviews, I decided to order these, oh my gosh what an amazing diaper! I will say, the only flaw I have noticed is if you pull the leg liner too hard it tears a tad, but out of a whole pack - that happened once. Otherwise, PHENOMENAL! Our first try was at night, and my son slept for about 8 hours, we had a brief reprieve from erupting molars - so it was a full night's sleep it was tested on. There were no leaks, the diaper was squishy and heavy, but not the way the diapers we would normally use were. I'd had Huggies' diapers elastics snap in the morning due to the amount in his diaper, these held shape pretty well I was so impressed. I've ordered another pack, as well as the regular Gentle Touch diapers to compare their functionality. Overall though, very happy!

These diapers fit my baby well. Many brands I’ve tried seem to be too tight in the waist/bulky on the bottom for my baby, but not these. I wish they were TCF, but as far as I can tell they are only ECF, so they’re a backup diaper for me as I try to buy TCF. The only other drawback is that the ruffles are pretty small so that’s less leakage/blowout protection but it hasn’t seemed to cause much of a problem for us. They’re pretty soft and stretchy. A Catastrophic Failure in Diaper Form

I’m not sure if I just got a bad batch or if these diapers are always this horrendous, but I will not spend another dime to find out—and I strongly urge you to do the same. I loved this brand’s Gentle version. They were everything you want in a diaper: super absorbent, well-fitted, no blowouts. I was their biggest fan. So, when the Gentles weren’t available, I thought, Surely the Plush will be just as good, maybe even better! I have never been more wrong. Let’s start with the tabs. These things are folded up like some kind of sick joke, requiring you to unfold them in three separate, precise movements. Miss a step? The tab rips off in your hand, leaving you holding a now-worthless scrap of disappointment. This happened to me. It happened to my mother. It will happen to you. But wait, there’s more! The side wings are a disaster. The right wing is disproportionately longer than the left, which means everything in this diaper is permanently listing to the right like a sinking ship. The left side? Practically non-existent. As a result, I have experienced more blowouts with these diapers than in my daughter’s entire life combined. I don’t know what sorcery was used to engineer a diaper that actively funnels poop toward the worst possible escape route, but here we are. And because I was foolishly optimistic, I bought a month’s supply. So now I'm locked in a psychological battle with my own stubbornness. I could throw them out, but that would be admitting defeat. So instead, I soldier on, knowing each diaper change is another step into madness. Please, learn from my mistake. You don’t have to live like this. Let me be your tribute, the sacrificial parent who suffered so you don’t have to. We’re already running on fumes as newborn parents—don’t make it worse by willingly subjecting yourself to these truly useless diapers that will rob you of your last remaining shreds of sanity. Save yourself. Run.

DON'T SLEEP ON THESE DIAPERS! (but your baby should)

I was skeptical at first trying out the plush version of this diaper because I thought the mama bear gentle touch was just OK and you can find a better diaper for the same price point. I saw these on prime day for the same price as the gentle touch and said why not. I was very, very impressed. They are soft and flexible with a satin-like exterior; similar to the feel of a hello bello diaper. The plush version definitely feels more quality than the papery gentle touch ones. I first tested the absorbency using 12 oz of water, waited ten minutes and dabbed dabbed dabbed. Seriously NO moisture! In comparison to the gentle touch diaper that had obvious moisture after the same test. I put them to use on my baby, who just for reference is 19lbs, for an overnight and the diaper did not leak and was only damp in the morning, not wet! Amazing. She is a moderate wetter but I still think that performance is great because in comparison to gentle touch, the diaper was wet on the inside after only three hours and I had to consistently use diaper cream so rash wouldn't develop; I would have never used the gentle touch as an overnight diaper. Seriously, for .21 a diaper for size three these diapers are a steal. DONT SLEEP ON THIS DEAL, PICK UP SOME MAMA BEAR PLUSH DIAPERS!
