Our authentic artisan shrubs use the finest produce from local farms and foraged from the countryside at Blake Hill.  Using the freshest of ingredients, we create the perfect natural infusion by first hot, then cold infusing, for many days.  We take our time so you can enjoy yours!  Perfect for craft cocktails and mocktails, dressings, glazes, desserts and baking. 

INGREDIENTS

 

Wild mint infused apple cider vinegar (fresh wild foraged mint, apple cider vinegar), can sugar, pure lemon juice

 

 

Recipes

"SPARKLING MINT ICED TEA" SHRUB MOCKTAIL

This beauty is a staple in our staff fridge - the perfect refreshing drink after a busy day in our Preserves Kitchen. We always make this in a pitcher - it's a necessity.

Serving Size: 1 drink OR 1 pitcher

8 ounces OR 32 ounces black tea
Club soda
2 ounces OR ½ bottle Wild Mint Botanical Shrub

INSTRUCTIONS

1 Make one iced tea OR one pitcher

 

2 For one iced tea: pour Wild Mint Botanical Shrub and tea into a glass with ice and stir

 

3 Top with club soda

 

4 For one pitcher: repeat the steps above - garnish, add ice and soda when ready to serve. Will last in the fridge for about a week, although we doubt it will be around that long ~ Cheers!

 

5 Tipsy Tip: add .5 ounces - 1 ounce mezcal per glass for a light smoky tea experience

 

MINT LEMONADER" SHRUB MOCKTAIL

You may never have plain lemonade again! These three simple ingredients come together to make the most refreshing beverage we have ever tasted...ever.

Serving Size: 1 drink OR 1 pitcher

8 ounces OR 32 ounces green tea
4 mint leaves OR small bunch
2 lemon wheels OR whole lemon sliced
1 tbsp OR ¼ cup Lisbon Lemon with Champagne Jam
2 ounces OR ½ bottle Wild Mint Botanical Shrub

INSTRUCTIONS

1 Make one delicious refresher OR one pitcher

 

2 For one drink: add Wild Mint Botanical Shrub, Lisbon Lemon with Champagne Jam and 2 mint leaves into a glass and muddle

 

3 Top with ice

 

4 Add green tea, remaining mint and lemon wheels

 

5 Stir, immersing the lemon and mint

 

6 For one pitcher: repeat the steps above - garnish and add ice when ready to serve. Will last in the fridge for about a week, although we doubt it will be around that long ~ Cheers!

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.
