Wow - this is an fabulous six-strand assemblage necklace of coral, silver, shell and other beads from Yemen in the Middle East.  This necklace is really spectacular, with gorgeous small coral beads, as well as a really interesting mix of high-quality and lower quality silver beads, which (as described below) are in a variety of conditions, from very nice to damaged.  But the really wonderful thing about this necklace (like it's sister, available here) is it's overall "wow" factor.  Put it on and you're ready to make a statement!

Because there's so much to describe in this necklace, we've taken a number of pictures.  The first thing to recognize is that this is a long necklace -- almost 38 inches long!  Total weights is 320.8 grams.  The coral beads are all a little different i size, but measure 4-5 mm in diameter on average.

The necklace is beautiful, but there is definitely some damage to the individual components -- we don't think these "flaws" detract from the overall aesthetic of the  necklace, but we still want to point them out:

  • The center bead is a gorgeous vintage Jewish/Yemeni silver work bead.  It measures 30 mm in diameter, 11 mm in thickness.  Note that there appears to be a small stone or cabochon space on each side of the bead that is empty.
  • The two silver tube beads right next to the center bead are quite lovely, probably vintage and with a high silver content
  • The grouping of tube beads towards the bottom of the necklace are some sort of "pot metal" (i.e., little silver content, whatever was "in the pot" that day).  They are the same shape as the two nicer tubers, but of more recent vintage and lower craftsmanship.
  • One of the coolest pieces of this necklace are the three large flat roundel beads on each side of the necklace.
    • There is one shell bead and two metal beads on each side of the necklace.
    • One of the metal beads on each side is a pot metal imitation of an older bead with a bright blue or red rhinestone embedded.  Very cool - but definitely not silver.
    • The other metal beads are highly damaged duplicates of the center bead.  One is missing its back and somewhat bent, while the other is partially caved in.
  • Further up the necklace are some very cool shell beads that we usually associate with Nepal or India.  Perhaps they are native to Yemen as well, or perhaps they were traded.  Very pretty and in good shape.
  • The top of the necklace features some lovely silver beads, made of very thin stamped sheet metal.  The quality is mixed, as some of the beads have gotten a little beat up over the years.
  • A few of the smaller silver spacer beads, while nice quality silver, are broken or damaged.

We don't know a lot about the provenance of this necklace, but it seems to us to be a traditional wedding assemblage of beads, perhaps from the Beduin peoples that live in the mountains of Yemen.  The necklace could certainly be worn as-is.  However, it is strung on cotton cord, and certainly a modern stringing job would be warranted (which we could do for any additional $150).

If you have sensitive skin and dont want premium prices, Cremo’s body wash is an excellent option A+
Scent: Palo Santo, Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Scent: Palo Santo, Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Cremo’s body wash for men has become a staple in our household. The product exudes a luxurious feel, from the rich lather to the clean, long-lasting scent that genuinely resembles a more expensive fragrance. This body wash possesses a pleasant aroma of cardamom, papyrus, and most notably, palo santo. It features a warm, woody, and spicy scent, which is one of my preferred fragrance notes. Notably, the scent is strong without being overpowering. Additionally, I appreciate the aesthetic appeal of the bottle. The exquisite and vintage-inspired packaging complements the fragrance effectively. What truly sets Cremo’s body wash apart is its gentle nature. I have sensitive skin and this body wash does not cause dryness or irritation. In fact, it leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth, which is not always the case with other brands I have tried. The affordability of Cremo’s body wash is a significant advantage. It offers a high-end feel and fragrance without incurring excessive costs, making it an easy choice for repeat purchases. If you or your family have sensitive skin or simply desire a pleasant scent without paying premium prices, Cremo’s body wash is an excellent option. Highly Recommended. 5/5 Stars.

Beat the Humidity with This Citrus Powerhouse
Scent: Bergamot, Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
In the middle of a brutal, humid Philippine summer, finding a body wash that actually boosts your confidence is a game-changer. Cremo’s Italian Bergamot isn’t just a soap; it’s a full olfactory experience. It opens with a vibrant, tart Italian bergamot that immediately cuts through the heat, followed by the freshness of vetiver, and the neroli blossom adds a sophisticated floral touch. True to Cremo’s Reserve collection, the scent is beautifully layered. It builds in intensity as you lather, allowing the earthy, fresh vetiver to anchor the citrus. Unlike many drugstore options, this lingers—stepping out of the shower, you can still catch the crisp citrus and the clean, woody dry-down on your skin. It’s the ultimate reset for a hot day.

I Smell Like a Gentleman Who Owns a Fireplace
Scent: Bourbon Oak, Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
The fragrance is warm, woody, and slightly sweet...that low amber note that smells expensive without trying to smell expensive, which, as we all know, is the actual expensive smell. My wife walked past me twenty minutes post-shower and said, unprompted, "You smell really good." I nodded like I had planned this. The lather is genuinely rich; squeeze a modest amount and it blooms into a thick, creamy foam that covers everything efficiently. The texture is silky rather than watery, which matters more than people admit. Watery body washes feel like rinsing off with slightly scented regret. This one feels intentional. It cleans, and your skin actually feels clean afterward, not just rinsed. And the moisturizing? I wasn't expecting it. No greasy film, no lotion-begging dry patches by midday. Just quietly softer skin that doesn't make a big announcement about it. Now, my honest gripe: the scent longevity has a ceiling. By mid-afternoon you're back to neutral. That's the gap between four stars and five for me. For daily freshness and an incredible morning window of smelling genuinely great, it absolutely delivers...but it won't carry you to bedtime. On value: 16 fl oz is decent, the lather is efficient so the bottle lasts, and the price sits in that sweet spot where you feel like someone who makes slightly elevated but still reasonable choices, which is exactly the vibe this entire product is going for.
