The Contracor ERCU Electric Remote Control Unit is a complete solution for blast machines, suitable for operation at distances of more than 40 meters from the blast pot. This electric deadman system prevents delays typical of pneumatic remote controls and ensures immediate and safe activation of the RCV valve. Ideal for professional blasting applications.
At distances greater than 40 meters, a pneumatic remote control system responds slowly because the air signal requires time to reach the RCV valve. The ERCU instead sends an electrical signal from the DMH-E deadman control handle to the control box on the blast machine. The valve is activated instantly, without any delay.
The electric remote control system is also particularly suitable for low temperatures, where pneumatic lines may freeze due to condensation.
