Product Description

Headline: The blacked-out Abel SDF. Quiet, premium, and built one town over from our shop.

The Abel SDF (Sealed Drag Fresh) 5/6 was Fly Fisherman Magazine's Best New Freshwater Reel for 2018 and Best of Show at the 2017 ICAST/IFTD trade show. Abel built the SDF after moving their operation here to Colorado, taking everything they learned engineering the saltwater SDS and scaling the platform down for trout. The result is the best freshwater reel they have ever produced, and we are proud to carry it from our shop just down the road from where it is built.

This configuration is the all-black version: Solid Glossy Black frame, matching Glossy Black drag knob, and a hand-finished ebony wood handle. No graphics, no contrast. It is the quietest aesthetic Abel offers on the SDF and the one most often picked by the angler who wants a premium reel that does not announce itself. The glossy finish picks up light just enough to look intentional, and the dark wood handle warms the package up without breaking the monochrome.

Under the surface, the SDF runs the same stainless steel and carbon fluoropolymer sealed drag system Abel uses on their saltwater reels. Drag pressure ranges from zero to 10 pounds with an adjustment range almost three times greater than the original SD, and the system has virtually zero startup inertia, so a fish that turns and runs hits a smooth, predictable resistance instead of a jolt. The large arbor picks up line faster and cuts down on memory in cold weather.

User-convertible retrieve, quick-change spool, and almost a full ounce lighter than the original SD. Designed and machined by trout junkies in Montrose, Colorado, USA, the same town as our shop. Stop by 432 E Main St to see one in hand before you commit.

An 8th grade teacher reads to students yearly
Format: Kindle
Because she made a point to tell me this has been apart of her lessons and she's been teaching 20+ years I wanted to know why!? Very educational for everyone especially in today's time. Compassion is lacking for people no matter the color of your skin, if every race read this then there would be anger but if they look past that its we as people need more compassion for others.

Format: Kindle
So very well written with searing details that bring the horrors of slavery in America into stark relief. It also shows that American slaves were Humans that created and lived in a loving family and community with it's distinct culture, knowledge, and traditions. And it shows how a caring and respectful people with a tradition of warmly greeting strangers, even those that look very different from them, similar to Native Americans in North America, get savagely treated and killed by Europeans. This is one of those special instances when a "loser" gets to write history...the whole history.

A well-written and engaging book
Format: Hardcover
I read this book for a college course, actually. It is difficult to call it a "good" book because the content is pretty awful, but it is well written. There are many sad and stressful moments; the author is very good at pulling you into the emotions of what it would be like to live through the horrors of slavery. My mom read the book after me as well. Neither of us could put it down.

The book breaks everything down clearly, and I appreciated how many practical techniques Erin includes—things you can actually apply right away. It’s easy to follow, well-organized, and gives a solid understanding of how to set up, market, and manage successful midterm rentals. A great read for both beginners!

Insightful

This book has been an absolute game-changer for anyone navigating the world of midterm rentals and seeking actionable insights to succeed. Unlike many other real estate books, it is refreshingly devoid of unnecessary fluff and gets straight to the point, offering invaluable advice that can be put into practice right away. Erin's expertise shines through in every page of this guide. Her approach is practical, well-organized, and laser-focused on helping hosts make the most of their 30+ day stays. What sets this guide apart is its emphasis on actionable insights. It's not just about theory; it's about real-world strategies that can be implemented immediately. Erin doesn't just tell you what to do, she explains why it works and how to adapt it to your unique situation. One of the things I appreciated most was the structure of the guide. Divided into four parts, it covers every essential aspect of midterm rentals, from property preparation and pricing strategies to guest communication and handling potential challenges. The step-by-step breakdown of each part makes it easy to follow along, whether you're a seasoned host looking to refine your approach or a newcomer eager to dive into the world of midterm rentals. Erin's Guide to Midterm Rentals doesn't overwhelm with jargon or complicated concepts. Instead, it provides clear and concise explanations, making it accessible to readers with varying levels of experience. The practical examples and case studies sprinkled throughout the guide add a real-world dimension, helping readers envision how the strategies can be applied to their own situations. In a market flooded with real estate resources, Erin's Guide to Midterm Rentals stands out as a beacon of practicality and usefulness. It's evident that the author genuinely cares about her readers' success and has taken the time to distill her own experiences and insights into a guide that is both informative and inspiring.
