New & also improved range of UVB linear tubes replaces the popular Repti Glo range.

Replacing the Exo Terra Repti Glo 5.0 T8 tubes with the new Exo Terra Reptile UVB 100 T8 tubes does away with the percentage terminology of linear tubes. Instead focusing on the average UVB output, based on a basking distance of 10cm from the lamp.

The Exo Terra Reptile UVB100 emits optimal levels of UVB. This also similar to that of shady environments such as rain forests or also other tropical locations.

Reptiles living in these habitats receive moderate UV radiation. This due to climatological conditions that prevent unfiltered sunlight from reaching the reptile’s basking site.

The optimal Vitamin D3 yield index ensures vitamin D3 photosynthesis. This to aid calcium absorption and also prevent metabolic diseases.

No longer should you have to rely on the 5.0 principle which only vaguely indicates the UVB output of the lamp ranging between 280 – 320nm. The 100 terminology focusing on the 290 – 310nm wavelength which is the range responsible for vitamin D3 synthesis.

Combined with Exo Terra’s new UVB lighting app the right lighting requirement is no longer an educated guess. You can actually put the onus on the keeper also allowing for better accuracy between keeper and retailer.

All of the new ET lamps have also been designed for maximum vitamin D3 photosynthesis by concentrating the UVB output near the 294nm wavelength (the wavelength responsible for peak D3 production).

The packaging also includes all necessary information for shoppers to make the right choice. Includes, Full Spectral Graph, UV Spectral Graph, Reptile Bulb Rating System and distance related information like; UVB output – Photosynthesis – Ferguson Zones and Exo Terra Reptile UVB Chart.

The longer sizes can be placed on multiple terrariums.

Key Features:

  • Ideal for all tropical and also sub-tropical reptiles

    Opinion on EWS
When I upgraded from Blu-ray to 4K Blu-ray, always wonder whether the transfer was good. This one was done well and you should like it. I watch on an OLED 83” FYI for comparison.

Curious about the Epstein Class... Kubrick pulls back the curtain with this one.

    it's kubrick. it's a masterpiece.
i don't really like movies about couples but being kubrick, i gave it a chance. the cinematography is just so incredibly rich, not only with flashy scenes and beautiful colors and framing, but with all these referential easter eggs and nuggets of hints and symbolism and...oh my god it's just RICH. if you like psychological and mystery stuff, and photography, and lurid secret society stuff, this movie is incredible. i will watch it again for sure.

    4k blu ray scenes freeze
The movie is good. The 4k blu ray froze at one scene and skipped ahead a few scenes. It makes me sad. Hopefully the blu ray doesn't freeze.

    The 4K's Rating
I'm not sure what's going on with this release, as it gets praised by some, condemned by others. Very strange. For me, all the criticism of the colors in some scenes (like the teal & orange bedroom scene) makes no sense, because those colors do not appear as saturated and forceful on my Panasonic 4K player and Samsung 42" 4K TV. They look noticable, as teal and orange naturally clash at any strength. But they don't look entirely unnatural. As for the grain, it iS awful during the initial party scene, to the point of distraction. But as the movie progresses, it seems to weaken. I'm not sure at what exact point the distraction ends, only that I became fully absorbed in the movie before Bill's nocturnal "adventures." (As a matter of note, I don't oversharpen in the settings, and don't bump up saturation.) This rating is for the 4K. I've only watched about 20 minutes of the blu-ray, during which I encountered a 3-4 second sound dropout that was troublesome. As in SILENCE. It's something I intend to contact Criterion about, to see if this is an anomaly (in which case I'll initiated a replacement from Amazon). If it's a general problem, I'll ask Criterion for a blu-ray replacement. I want to watch more of the blu-ray before taking any action, in case there are more dropouts to report. BTW, the blu-ray looks quite good to me, altho I think the 4K is slightly more detailed.
