Introducing an oasis tucked away in the woods. The rolling hills, rustling tree canopies, and beautiful wildlife at the Ledges made feel like I was able to relax far from home, when in reality it was just a short drive away!
This place is special to me because my friends embarked on a brave adventure of finding this land and building a beautiful cabin here. Not only was it inspiring seeing them take such a big leap of faith, but it was also sweet to see how intentional they were, and how many friends they supported by giving them temporary jobs along the way. When I see this cabin, I see the hands of many of our friends who helped make it what it is today. I see the work of community tucked in a place of gentle solitude.
This is a sweet place to turn off your phone and take in your surroundings. Even if you can't physically come here, I hope this painting transports you somewhere peaceful in your mind.

This painting is from the Legdes painting collection. My friends, Drew and Carrie, built a beautiful cabin on this property and turned it into an AirBnB. I feel honored that they let us stay here and paint little glimpses from such a special place.
