The design provides both efficient storage and improved game play. Many of the trays can be utilised during the game, and they greatly aid set up and clear away times. The boards and rulebooks act as a lid on top of the trays. The insert is arranged in up to three layers, with large square trays for the player pieces on the bottom layer.

Insert compatible with Age of Innovation®. The design provides both efficient storage and improved game play. Many of the trays can be utilised during the game, and they greatly aid set-up and clear-away times. The boards and rulebooks act as a lid on top of the trays. The insert is arranged in up to three layers, with large square trays for the player pieces on the bottom layer.

Each tray has space for eight terrain tiles with one side showing the terrain for that player colour. Should you need more you can take them from one of the trays not in use. Each player tray also has space for one palace placeholder tile and a 100/200 point token. The eighth tray is for the white neutral pieces and the starting competency tiles. The insert includes one large tray for the game cards, faction tiles and round bonus tiles. There is room for all the cards to be sleeved. All tokens and tiles are split by type. The resource trays can all be placed next to the game board during game play.
