It allows for a smoother threading operation. TiCN helps to hold sharp edges and reduces the coefficient of friction.

You should change cabin air filter by yourself.
Do not let your dealership overcharge you for the work they did not perform. Use this to change cabinets air filter yourself. I noticed that my old cabin air filter was used both sides when I pulled it out to install this one. Not cool. I think this cabin air filter works as expected and air quality is definitely improved shortly after installation.
