Framingham Classic Riesling is a generous, mouth-filling wine (Statlese halbtrocken "half dry" in style) with ripe yellow / orange citrus flavours and juicy acidity.

The 22 / 23 growing season was for the most part one without major incident.  There were some unusually humid periods to navigate in the late February but weather conditions settled through harvest and we were largely able to pick at will and hit targeted ripeness and flavour levels which produced very pleasing wines.

WINE MAKING

Fruit comes from all four sections of our Estate.  Each parcel was handpicked and whole bunch pressed.  Juices were predominately fermented in stainless steel tanks with a small portion fermented and aced in acacia barrels.  All components were aged on full ferment lees without S02 for around 5 months prior to being blended and bottled.

TASTE

Aromatics are reminiscent of mandarin pith, wet stone and bees wax.  Vibrant, intense and focused palate with orange and stone fruit favours are held together by a good line of juicy acidity and elegant texture.

All kinds of pork dishes, other white meats and seafood or as an apertif!
