Description
Care
Giant only in relation to some of its relatives, sacrimontis is a West African dwarf cichlid which has several colour variants.
A pair of these exquisite little cichlids are suitable for community aquariums measuring 90cm or longer. Larger groups should be given much more territory. The substrate should consist of natural coloured sand or fine gravel, and dark shady areas should be provided with plenty of plants, bogwood, and caves. Java moss covered coconut shells or clean new flowerpots are particular favourite hideaways, and a pair is likely to choose such a location as a spawning site. Excellent water quality should be maintained at all times, and boisterous tankmates are not advised. If kept in cramped quarters, breeding pairs will become quite aggressive towards their tankmates, so adequate space must be provided.
As mentioned above, the giant aspect of this fish probably stems from the size of imported specimens rather than a tendency to grow larger than the common kribs which they resemble. They may be seen occasionally as Green krib, which may cause confusion due to the various colour forms. Typically sacrimontis displays darker colouration and females have an unmarked dorsal fin. Three colour forms are known - Red, Green and Yellow. These often arrive in mixed batches and sometimes mixed with P. pulcher.
Feeding
Flake, granules sinking pellets and small frozen foods such as daphnia, mosquito larvae, brineshrimp etc.
Breeding
These fish are less common in aquaria due to the impact of pH on the sex of their offspring and a reluctance to spawn in harder water. Courting pairs are easy to spot as they select and modify a spawning site, with the female displaying her belly as a sign of her readiness to deposit eggs. The male’s primary role is to defend the territory and he will require an outlet for this aggression to ensure that he does not direct this hormonally induced behaviour at his mate. Without a common enemy, many cichlid pairs tend to bicker, and a threat is required in the form of target fish (which must be able to escape the defended territory to safety for their own welfare) or even a mirror attached to the outside of one of the aquarium panes. Often, the first signs that spawning is occurring is when the pair disappear for some time into one of their favourite caves. Once the eggs have been deposited and fertilised, they will take approximately 5 days to hatch and a further 3 or 4 days to become free-swimming. A typical brood size would be around 40-50 young. The parents are very defensive of the fry and will be seen herding them around the aquarium, where they will forage on live foods such as newly hatched brine shrimp and microworms. Once the young fishes are independent it’s best to remove them before the adults attempt to drive them away.

Value: Highly concentrated formula—a little goes a long way.
Verdict: A rare mineral-based sunscreen that actually feels lightweight and looks invisible on the skin. Ideal for daily protection without the heavy, oily feel of traditional sunscreens.

I LOVE this sunscreen!! Super affordable and lightweight for your skin!
Size: 6 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Style: SPF 50
I love this sunscreen!! Love it so much I bought 3 bottles of it!
Super lightweight and blends right into the skin, and I don’t feel not sticky!
I got super excited and got this primarily because it’s lightweight, super affordable, SPF 50 for high protection, and it said there’s no alcohol or fragrance…heres the catch tho, there IS a slight sunscreen smell, but you only notice it when applying it and if you keeping smelling it on yourself up close during the day.
Other than that, it’s truly fragrance free in the sense that you aren’t just standing there doing your thing, and keep getting HIT with the scent of sunscreen for hours, like other sunscreens! The scent is extremely light and pleasant when you go to smell it on yourself.
Don’t EVER discontinue this please please please!!!!

It’s great! So light weight!
Size: 3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Style: SPF 50
I have been testing this out for a month now.
I love it. This does have avobenzone in it, and because of that, I do NOT put it around my eyes as avobenzone is a chemical sunscreen ingredient that typically tends to cause the of sensation of burning eyes! At least for me it does.
I use an Australian sunscreen around my eyes that doesn’t have anything that irritates my eyes. So for the rest of my face, this stuff is great. It literally is so serum like sinks into your skin within five minutes or sooner. Now it’s not the most hydrating thing in the world so if you have a dry skin, you still wanna go in with a moisturizer before however, if you have oily skin, this is your girl right here. Skin like finish, not super matte and not dewy at all. I do not wear primer so I don’t know how it plays with that. Works great under my makeup and has never caused pilling.
Quick, easy, simple ingredients, definitely sensitive skin friendly, and no fragrance at an affordable cost-effective price! Now if only banana boat decided to go cruelty free😭
9/10 bc not CF 💔

Great sensitive skin sunscreen
Size: 3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Style: SPF 50
Love this! I have sensitive skin. this did not sting my eyes, or burn my cheeks. Left no white cast. I'm not noticing any scent. It just feels like bare skin, it's not heavy, drying, oily or sticky. No pilling. Went on smooth, not streaky, looks like skin once dried down, not patchy. I hope they keep this in stock forever!

Any Francis Duncan mystery is a joy
Format: Paperback
As a lover of classic British mysteries, my chance discovery of this author from the mid-20th Century has been a real joy. Every page keeps my interest, which I cannot say about many mysteries I read by well-regarded authors. Duncan's books are also not guilty of that staple of modern mysteries that I am getting so weary of: a detective drowning in their personal angst, fighting emotional slings and arrows, and of course, a tragic love life, etc, which takes up so much of the bulk of his or her attention. Duncan's Miss Marple-like character Mordecai Tremaine is in many ways a very ordinary type of person, but he is able to blend in with quite different types of social groups; groups which fester with secrets, lies and a hidden murderer...until Tremaine untangles it all in his unassuming but brilliant way. He does it by observing people as much as by physical clues, which is similar to the Agatha Christie approach. This mystery, "Murder for Christmas" was not the typical "murder at a country house at Christmas" mystery which I thought it would be. It was quite surprising, startling, enthralling, and a joy to read.
