FERNANDA JIMÉNEZ PEÑA, cantaora gitana, conocida mundialmente con el nombre artístico de FERNANDA DE UTRERA, nació en Utrera (Sevilla) en el año 1923, y es también hermana de la cantaora inseparable Bernarda de Utrera. Muchos la consideran junto a Mercé la Serneta la mejor solearera de todos los tiempos. Nieta de Fernando Peña Soto Pinini. Desde muy joven destacó en fiestas y reuniones íntimas, actuando esporádicamente en algunos festejos cara al público, hasta que en 1955 actúa, junto a su hermana, como habitualmente lo ha seguido haciendo, en los festivales de Sevilla. En 1957, es contratada para actuar en el elenco del Tablao Zambra de Madrid, de donde pasa a El Corral de la Morería.

I bought this book to replace a compact-version because the font was too small for my eyes. This one is larger in font and has a bit more info. per entry than the compact one. The paper quality is pretty good as well. I recommend it as a resource to have with your desk reference collection.
