Jennifer Laing has won prizes and awards in every competition she has entered since making her first bear in 1990. She is the founder of The Antipodean Bear Makers Co-op, the largest network of its kind in the southern hemisphere, and the author of the best-selling book and video The Art of Making Teddy Bears. As well as teaching bear-making classes, restoring antique bears and toys, and painting bear portraits on commission, Jennifer works fulltime on her bears to keep up with the demand from collectors.
