The Marauder Expansion brings two war-hungry new factions crashing into the forest, plus a host of hirelings and a fresh setup draft that makes every game feel more tactical before the first warrior even hits the clearing. If your table likes Root with sharper elbows and bigger swings, this box throws another log on the fire.

Take command of the Lord of the Hundreds, a torch-waving tyrant who spreads distrust, loots the Woodland, and builds a towering hoard through raw oppression, or lead the Keepers in Iron, an exiled order of devout knights who march to recover ancient relics with fierce discipline and zealous purpose. The expansion also adds four hirelings, smaller faction forces that can be added at any player count to create surprising alliances, new power combinations, and extra tension, especially in lower-player games. On top of that, the included new setup draft works for both casual and competitive play, helping each match start with a little more intention and a lot more bite.
