This would have been a private purchase example, costing extra because of the beautifully engraved blade. The nickel silver “P” guard hilt is uncleaned but in very sound condition. The black celluloid grip with triple wire is excellent. The untouched scabbard retains 70% of its original black enameled paint but there is light rust in areas where the paint is missing. I am happy to say that the triple engraved blade is in excellent condition. If you run a rag over the blade, it will sparkle. The runners on the interior of the scabbard appear to be nonfunctional so the blade does not remain in the scabbard if you turn it upside down. Great display piece.
