ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

Every great journey begins inside a book.

With a perfect blend of historical rigor and intrigue, Luis Zueco takes the reader to a time when the printed word could be the most dangerous weapon.

There was a time when books could help discover new worlds, shake the most sacred dogmas, and change the course of history.

This novel is a trip to the years just after the invention of the printing press, when a book merchant begins a search for a mysterious copy that has been stolen from the largest library in the West, created in Seville by Christopher Columbus' son.

It is the year 1517, young Thomas crosses the emerging Renaissance Europe fleeing from his past. It is in those years following America's discovery and the invention of the printing press, a period of profound changes that meant the end of the Middle Ages. The great curiosity and attraction he feels for the New World, cultivated by his constant readings, will take him to Spain, where he will begin to work with a book merchant.

The task of locating a copy shrouded in mystery takes him to Seville, a prosperous city that serves as a link in trade with the Indies and which holds, within its walls, the most important library in the West, created by Christopher Columbus' son and called the Colombina. It is precisely there that Thomas discovers that someone has stolen the book he is looking for and, for some reason, is very keen to ensure that no one finds it. There was a time when books allowed us to discover new worlds, shake the most sacred dogmas, and change the course of history.

Luis Zueco immerses his readers in the dawn of bibliophiles and transports us, with a perfect union of historical rigor and a fast-paced plot, to a time when the printed word could be the most dangerous weapon.

Nice tool, but with a 4 year life span.
I bought this on Nov. 2020, after hand surgery left me temporarily unable to do simple yet necessary tasks- like opening a wine bottle. 🤪 It's compact, nicely designed, and reliable. I kept it plugged in all the time with no issues. The only negative so far is the blue light which stays on whenever the unit is in the base, fully charged or not. (Not a fan of the many small yet bright lights from all appliances! Placing a Talking Yoda figurine in front of it blocked enough of the light to satisfy me). I found it easy to use and appreciated the foil cutter. Worked well on all types of corks. Flash forward to spring 2024... Despite the constant charging, the corkscrew dies at maybe a half inch into the cork. Just slows down and dies. Having read earlier reviews, I may try to crack it open and replace the battery. But ultimately, having regained my hand strength back, I'm more likely to go back to an old fashioned, reliable, hand operated corkscrew and celebrate the loss of weird lights and needed electricity. Conclusion: unless you are recovering from hand surgery, just get a good quality non- electric corkscrew and use it for 75 years (optimistically). Best deal ever. And you can take it camping too.

Wonderful opener
Color: Black
FINALLY!! A product that works efficiently, exactly as promised, and does an excellent job with no learning curve. This wine opener is easy to use, and works exactly as it should. The capsule cutter works like a breeze, and the cork lifter is smooth and fast. It pulls the cork, then reverses, and pushes the cork back off and into your waiting palm. Totally impressive! Wish all products were made as well.

Great wine ipener
Color: Black
Works great and good cutter. I wish the base was a little smaller I don’t need to display the wine aerator so it would have been better to make the base small and just be a charger and bottle cutter holder
