Malgré un parfum très identifiable et populaire, la violette est une fleur dite muette, c’est-à-dire dont on ne peut extraire le parfum directement. Seules feuilles et tiges peuvent être exploitées. Leur extrait dégage une odeur verte de concombre épicé, aux antipodes des effluves de la fleur. Pour restituer l’odeur fruitée, gourmande et légèrement boisée de ses pétales, Francis Kurkdjian utilise les Ionones (ionos signifie violet en grec), des molécules odorantes découvertes et mises à disposition des parfumeurs dès la fin du XIXe siècle. En parfumerie féminine, la violette apporte une facette poudrée ou une sensation gustative qui se marie très bien avec les notes rosées. Dans un parfum masculin, c’est sa facette verte qui est largement utilisée.

Nice shoes!

I bought them in black and I like them so much I will be buying the brown soon. They fit true to size and are comfortable and stylish. I like the clean simplicity. They're basically a dressy sneaker which is perfect for my job's 'dress code'. Yet they're stylish enough to be worn weekends or a night out. They seemed just a touch stiff out of the box but IMO that's completely normal and fine - after just a couple days of wearing them they are breaking in nicely. No complaints on that. They seem to be of very high quality and I'm very happy with them.
