1. Mounting options

These carbon barrel extensions are designed to be used directly on our 24 mm threaded outer barrels: SRS G-Spec barrels (A1 and A2) and SRS Sport barrels (16" and 20").

To use these extensions on other barrels, you will need a DT muzzle brake (please check references SBA-FHD-06 and SBA-FHD-07) and a timing shim set (please check reference SBA-SIL-06). To properly time the muzzle brake, please refer to the YouTube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=829ujuwRL6Q&t)

You may skip the timing procedure if (and only if) you fully screw the muzzle brake onto the outer barrel thread, ending in an unrealistic position.

1. Inner barrel length

Please refer to the chart for the maximum inner barrel length for your specific setup. For concentricity reasons, we also suggest maintaining a minimum inner barrel length (100 mm shorter than the maximum length). Your carbon barrel extension comes with barrel spacer(s) (1 piece for the XS model, 2 pieces for S/M/L models, and 3 pieces for the XL model). Install one barrel spacer at the front end of the inner barrel and, if necessary, distribute the remaining ones along the protruding inner barrel. Additional barrel spacers can be purchased separately (please check reference SBA-BBS-11).

1. Offset between muzzle and handguard

Please refer to the chart to determine the distance between the muzzle of the carbon barrel extension and the front of the handguard. If the distance is negative, it means the muzzle of the carbon barrel extension will be inside the handguard.

1. Use as an integral suppressor

You can use your carbon barrel extension as an integrally suppressed barrel by adding up to 100 mm (recommended) of foam filling on the muzzle side of your carbon barrel extension. Please check reference SBA-SIL-18 for additional information.

Filling the carbon barrel extension with foam may not be legal in your country: users must comply with local laws regarding the use and ownership of sound suppressor devices. Using an inner barrel shorter than the suggested length may cause concentricity issues at the muzzle. Carbon fiber tubes are prone to scratching easily or even breaking from impacts.
