Dating to the turn of the 20th century France, this ravishing Art Nouveau tiara necklace is comprised of mirroring sections of rose-cut diamond lined whiplashes that transition into knife-edge sections punctuated by sparkling rose-cut diamonds. From scintillating .95 carat pear shaped diamond swings a spectacular grey-blue cabochon sapphire, displaying a distinct star, wrapped in a shimmering ribbon of Peruzzi, old-mine and rose cut diamonds. Hand fabricated in silver topped 18k gold.

Sapphire: estimated 21.4 carats (15.74 x 11.68 x 10.79 mm

Diamonds: estimated 7.18 total carats. Pear cut estimated .95 ct, SI2 clarity, J color. Remaining diamonds are a mixture of rose, Peruzzi and old mine cut diamonds bright and well matched. 

Weight: 35.1 grams

Measurements;: 15" long, pendant 1 1/8" x 15/16"

Markings: "CR" hand inscribed on clasp, two right facing horse heads in dictating 18K (1847 - 1919), four French eagle heads indicating 18K, BG maker's mark inside a diamond. 

Notes: two areas of restoration can be seen from the reverse, located above the pear shaped diamond and on each side of the pear shaped diamond. The sapphire and diamond top is likely a later addition. Tiara frame deficient.
