In Ingenious, 1 to 4 players take turns placing colored tiles on the game board, earning points for matching colored symbols that extend outward in straight lines from the placed tile. Each tile consists of two hexagons sharing an edge, with each hexagon featuring a colored symbol. Players score points by extending lines of matching symbols in up to five directions per hexagon, or ten per tile. The challenge lies in the fact that the winner is not determined by the highest scores in a few colors, but by having the highest score in their lowest-scoring color.
