What sets the RiverRun apart is that the stainless steel cutting blades are replaceable. Most nippers get tossed once they go dull — with the RiverRun, you swap the blades and keep the tool, so a good nipper lasts. The blades handle a wide range too, cutting lines from 8X all the way up to 80lb, which means one tool covers everything from the finest trout tippet to heavy saltwater leader.
