Young Diplodocuses (Diplos) love the delicious leaves from the nearby pastures. To win, your Diplo team needs to consume more leaves than your opponent’s team—unless one of you decides to summon the fearsome T. Rex to eliminate all the rival Diplos!

To set up Jurassic Snack, randomly arrange the four playing boards into a square, place four Diplos of your color on the corresponding egg spaces, then shuffle the grass tokens and place them face down on the 28 empty spaces. On your turn, you can perform two actions: moving a Diplo of your color or moving the T. Rex. You can perform these actions with the same or different Dinosaurs, or mix them up however you like.

A Diplo's objective is to eat grass tokens. It moves in a straight line as far as it wants until it encounters another Diplo, a T. Rex, the edge of the board, or a grass token. If it reaches a grass token, the Diplo eats it and triggers one of six effects, such as birth, T. Rex appearance, or moving another Diplo.

The T. Rex’s goal is to scare the Diplos away. It moves like a Diplo but, when it encounters one, it replaces the Diplo on its space and sends the Diplo back to its owner's pool.

The game ends when there are no more grass tokens on the board. The player who has eaten the most grass wins. Alternatively, the game can end if a player has no Diplos left on the board.
