This remarkable ring is a substantial and gorgeous jewel of heavy gold! We adore the defined and detailed intaglio image which has been expertly carved in amethyst. A form of rose of Sharon ring, we haven‘t seen one quite like it!

Pure Victorian decadence, the face of this intaglio has been exquisitely carved with the letter ‘P‘ In a flowing form, the craved surface has then been filled in with gold leaf. Most amazingly, there is also two rose cut diamonds which sparkle and catch the light when worn.

The intaglio has been set into a rich a deep buttery 18 carat gold mount which surround the stone. Being early to mid victorian no attention has been spare anywhere on the ring or setting.

This ring is a great example due to the beautiful design and weight of 18 carat gold. This is a tactile ring which would beautifully worn with your other jewels stacked up or solo. This is a very special and truly timeless beauty

CONDITION: This is in overall good condition with just a fine patina of wear over the stone and gold setting. As can be seen in the pictures some of the gold leaf has been lost in time as well as there being a historical sizing at the back of the band.
