The Xtreme Lead-1 is E-mu's coolest lead synth and BPM synthesizer. Based off of the Audity 2000, the Xtreme Lead has the 32 MB "X-Lead" soundset ROM, 64-voice polyphony, 16 simultaneously available programmable arpeggiators, 12-pole digital filters and 24-bit dual effects. 

The XL-1 introduces E-mu's new SuperBEATS Mode, which allows you to effortlessly trigger, latch and unlatch synced loops and grooves from separate keys on your keyboard over 16 independent rhythm tracks. Great for live use by DJs and artists alike! Sounds of the Xtreme Lead-1 include techno basses, buzzed out synth leads, pads, dance drumkits, vocal stabs, hits, analog synths, DJ scratches, etc. The twelve assignable real-time front panel controls provide fast hands-on access. (Vintage Synth Explorer) 

Condition:
  • This E-mu has been used.

  • This E-mu has been tested. Everything is working as it should and it sounds great!

  • The cosmetic condition of this unit is great. It is a nice bright yellow / orange colour! It shows some minor wear from use and age like some small nicks and scratches. The back of the unit has some yellow stains on it. There is nothing major at all. Please see photos.

  • The backlight on the screen still works, but is it dim. It is not as bright as it once was. 

  • This unit is 100-240V. This means it is worldwide compatible. This unit requires a standard IEC cable to power on. This cable is not included.

This stuff looks like used motor oil but don’t worry that is the molybdenum disulfide (MoS₂) which is black. This stuff in a small engine makes it smooth as silk. I used it all season in my leaf vacuum small engine. I could hear the difference. It was quieter and smoother.

Works just like the Mercedessource guy said it would.

After viewing a Mercedessource video (trusted Mercedes repair advice Youtuber and blogger) on which oil he liked for higher mileage Mercedes he pointed this out Semi-synthetic 10w-40 out. Called it “muddy” oil. Said it possibly helped with small oil seal leaks and seemed to slow oil loss in higer miles Mercedes. Also made the engines run more quietly. So I have been using in my wife’s high mileage Mercedes (185,000miles W211 2004 E500 4matic) which we baby and I work on. A true very high compression super car, everything he said at Mercedessource has turned out to be accurate. No more leaks. Quiet lifters. Cooler running. Wow. I had been using Mobil 1 full synthetic 0W-40 European Car Formula exclusively but tried this for the seal protection. Works great and no, it is not Mercedes spec but I will see when the harsh Utah winter hits. May switch to the Liqui-Moly 5W-40 Leichtlauf full synthetic (which does meet Mercedes 722.9 oil spec) for winter (I change the oil every 6 months regardless). Thanks for reading.
