It can be harvested without harming the tree, and grows back periodically every few years. Only about 50% of the bark is removed at the time of harvesting. It is also biodegradable, and will break down into the environment at the end of its life cycle.

These are awesome! They were easy to assemble. They are lightweight and easy to move. I was able to easily put all 6 pieces -(I ordered two sets)-into the back of my SUV at once, by myself (and I'm a short, older lady). Quality material. Very sturdy and steady. The first set I opened was a used one and did not include instructions, but it was still very easy to assemble and figure out. I recommend using a battery powered screwdriver. With that, the assembly of all 6 panels took less than 45 minutes.
