An absolute joy, one of the best devotionals that I have read to date and God placed it in my hands at the perfect time. I read this during my first month of lockdown and it was simply uplifting and the refreshment that my soul needed. This is not like the majority of daily devotionals that I have read, rather each day is a short chapter (about 7-8 pages) and it works through the Bible in order of the listing of the books. Each day the focus is on the greatness of God and a reminder that He is greater than our thoughts can imagine. This isn’t a book of heavy theology, however it does require commitment and not simply a quick glance. The readings are from a modern translation (ESV I think, but not 100% sure) however the author’s fondness to the AV is clear as he often quotes from it or refers back to it. I wouldn’t recommend this simply to a mature converted Christian, it is suitable for any Christian regardless of their maturity, but especially to those who may be feeling low or have had providence go against them lately. I would also recommend this to somebody who is earnestly seeking as this would give them extra encouragement. Kevin
