The Roland VS-840, released in 1998, is a digital 8-track recorder/workstation from Roland’s popular VS-Series. It records to Zip disks (100 MB or 250 MB) using Roland’s proprietary RDAC (Roland Digital Audio Coding) data compression format, which balances sound quality and storage efficiency. The unit provides 8 playback tracks and 64 virtual tracks, with 2-track simultaneous recording via its combination XLR/¼-inch TRS mic/line inputs and an onboard Hi-Z instrument input. It includes a built-in digital mixer, multi-effects processor (based on the Roland VS8F-1 engine), and MIDI synchronisation capabilities.
Condition:
• This is a used unit.
• This unit is in good condition. It shows some general wear from use and age like some marks, nicks and scratches. Nothing major. There is a small crack in the plastic on one of the top corners. Overall it is still a nice piece.
• This unit has been thoroughly tested, we can confirm it is fully functional.
• The zip drive has been tested and it is working as it should.
• This unit is 100-240V. This means it can be used anywhere in the world. It uses a standard IEC cable. This cable is not included.
• This sale is for the VS-840 only. Nothing else is included in the sale.
