COREL COCCA VENETA WOOD SHIP KIT

Cocca Veneta, 15th Century Mediterranean Merchant Ship
Plank-on-Bulkhead Wood Ship Model Kit by Corel

The term "cocca" usually indicates size of a merchantile hull which was common in the Mediterranean during the 15th cent. Most of these ships had a prow in the shape of a birds beak. The stern section was usually just slightly above the water line. The length of the vessel varied from 60 to 90 ft and usually wasn"t over 200 tons. The lines of this somewhat light vessel were well adapted to ocean going navigation and easily handled the squalls of the Mediterranean. Our replica in the scale of 1:70 is taken from a famous naval study published in France at the end of the 19th cent. The study covered miniatures and paintings made in the year of 1500.

Corel's Cocca Veneta ship model kit is double plank-on-frame contains various colors of strip wood as well as a complete set of fittings. Decorative fittings are bronzed cast metal, turned wood stanchions, brass rudder hinges, and photo-etched copper name plate. The plans contain one-to-one drawings and generous instructions illustrated with nummerous construction perspectives. This merchant ship is typical of the vessels that plyed the Mediterranean trade routes during the 16th century. Most had a prow shaped like the beak of a bird, and a stern section riding just above the water line. referred to thethe- usually 60-90 feet in length. Tonnage was rarely over 200 tons.

All wooden parts are laser-cut and the kit contains many parts of pre-finished hardwood, such as  blocks and deadeyes, pre-carved wooden longboat. Linen sail cloth, silk-screened flag and three sizes of rigging line are also included.

Withstands very aggressive chewing
Color: Blue
We have a very active and aggressive chewer. Items identified for aggressive chewers are “Gone in 60 Seconds”. This toy is amazing. It has withstood Jake’s many attempts to destroy it and is one of his favorites! It is not hard like acrylic but is hard rubber with some give decreasing risk of fractured teeth. Best toy yet!!!

Well loved
Color: Blue, Color: Blue
We just got this sweet girl from the shelter a few days ago. She's had this toy for 2 days and already chomped off one of the legs. She does have other toys so she doesn't play with this one all the time but she does like it a lot! It's very hard and durable on the ends. But as you can see, it's not indestructible. She carries this little guy around the house like they're BFFs. It's super adorable.

Happy hound!
Color: Yellow, Color: Yellow
My 2 yr old bloodhound destroys every toy in minutes, but not this one. My husband and I actually buy toys to see how long they last for fun. Although the croc is NOT indestructible, it lasts a whole lot longer than most. After an hr or so, I took away the only piece he's chewed off which is part of the back leg. Otherwise nothing else is missing off the croc. Our boy has been very occupied with this new toy and we're satisfied with his new distraction!

Definitely a tough toy
Color: Blue
This is one of the few toys my Boxer/american bulldog mix hasn’t been able to tear apart. He loves chewing on it and I love that he doesn’t chew on stuff he shouldn’t. I have such an issue with toys being torn apart the day I bring them home. I wish there was a safe way for it to have a squeaker since he loves squeakers but I don’t think that is possible.
