The Madrid Series chessmen are another fine example from The Regency Chess Company. Finely crafted from graded rosewood and boxwood, triple-weighted and with a baize base, this lovely design lends slightly more detail than the standard Staunton chess sets. The double recess below the shank of each piece is highly distinctive and is one of the features that make this set so desirable.
The knight has been expertly carved in an elegant yet aggressive pose with extremely detailed teeth and mane.
