The album allows Celine to explore many new musical styles, including blues (“Le ballet”), rock ‘n’ roll (“J’irai où tu iras”), rhythm ‘n’ blues (“Regarde-moi”), gospel (“Prière païenne”), pop (“Les derniers seront les premiers”, “Cherche encore”) and ballads (“La mémoire d’Abraham”). D’eux ends with the heartrending “Vole”, a song dedicated to Celine’s niece Karine, who passed away from Cystic Fibrosis the previous year. Over the years D’eux has become the best-selling French album of all time, selling more than 10 million copies worldwide.
