Our Spring/Summer 2025 issue explores the thrill of newness, uncertainty, and best of all, strangers. It stars three cover girls who originally appeared on the cover of i-D as complete unknowns (in 1986, 2012, and 2025 respectively). 

The star of this special edition cover first appeared on the cover of i-D as an unknown dancer in 2012. “i-D made me famous,” she tells her friend Playboi Carti about appearing on the cover as a complete unknown. Since that fateful shoot, she’s become a Grammy-nominated superstar, releasing her third album Eusexua to rave reviews earlier this year. With Carti, Twigs gets real about what it takes to transition from covergirl to superstar, and where she’s headed next.
