Veteran Bring Back German WWII Early Hunting Cutlass with Stag Motif-This is a gorgeous cutlass. This is an incredibly handsome piece with a blade that measures 18 inches (45.72cm) in length. The whole dagger measures 23 inches (58.42cm) in length. It has a beautiful stag grip with a brass pommel cap and ornate hoof crossguard. There is a brass stag insignia on the stag handle. It has a stag embellished clamshell cross guard. The fittings on this are incredible, and well worth taking a look at our photos. The scabbard top fitting is brass with a black leather body. It is broken at the tip, and the blade shows through at the tip. Please be sure to look closely at this damage. The blade is double engraved. It is lightly etched with a stag scene on side, and a lance and floral design on the other. The blade has some spotting but overall is in good condition. This is complete with its original skinning knife which measures approx. of 8 ½ inches total. There is a brown leather frog that has a very nice shoulder strap. We purchased this cutlass directly from the family of the veteran who brought it home. We will supply the buyer with the name of this veteran. A very unique and cool offering!
