An antique French sterling silver asparagus server by Emile Puiforcat, Paris, c. 1900, with original presentation box. The delicate server features pierced work of acanthus scrolls, foliage, and a crest or shield — Puiforcat perfection with a warm patina acquired over time. Hallmarks & Provenance
French sterling silver, .950, 1st Titre. Marked with the Minerva 1st Titre mark and maker’s punch for Emile Puiforcat (located on the serving blade) — diamond-shaped with a pocket knife in profile flanked by the initials E and P, registered 1857 by Emile Puiforcat and his cousin Jean-Baptiste Fuchs.
