The perfect all-purpose fly fishing waders should check a lot of boxes, so we started by building our Men’s Ultralight Waders to be durable, thanks to a four-layer waterproof nylon shell that’s also breathable, so you won’t overheat in summer. Add layers underneath, and you can fish comfortably all year long. They’ve also got to let you do what you have to do to get to prime water. The mechanical stretch moves with your body, down embankments, over fallen trees, and up the occasional rock face. And, of course, they’ve got to resist punctures and abrasions: check and check. If you travel to fish, you’ll appreciate how lightweight these really are—fitting easily into a carry-on. And when you’re done fishing and have to walk two miles back downstream to your truck, you’ll love how easy it is to convert these into a waist-high version.
