Description

Kelderman 2-Stage Rear Air Suspension 08-16 Ford F-250/F-350 SuperDutyFord SuperDuties are known for being tough, hardworking rigs. That said, many owners would prefer a better ride quality out of the rear of the truck, especially when unloaded. When these trucks don't have any additional weight compressing the rear end, the leaf springs are at the top of their suspension cycle which is the point where they exhibit the worst ride quality, delivering a jarring effect when you cross ever the smallest of road imperfection.

Ford SuperDuties are known for being tough, hardworking rigs. Fortunately, the Kelderman 2-Stage Rear Air Suspension was designed to cure these issues.... and more!

The Kelderman 2-Stage Rear Air Suspension is a unique design that removes the rear leaf spring hanger/mount and attaches it to a 'floating' air suspension framework. This allows you to retain the leaf spring suspension for towing, but allows you to ride on air suspension instead of those rigid leaf springs. This kit "floats" the stock suspension to provide 3-4" of additional suspension travel for your truck. The design of this system shares the same space as your existing receiver hitch, requiring it to be eliminated, but don't worry...the kit includes a strong Class V receiver hitch to put in as a replacement to allow for the air suspension framework to bolt right up.

You will still be able to use your truck as truck, but without bouncing around inside the cab. While driving down the road, the air suspension acts as the first line of defense against road imperfections. The air bags absorb the harshness of the road before transferring them onto the leaf spring suspension, which typically results in a 40-50% improvement in ride quality. If you want to take your ride quality to where it needs to be and to where it SHOULD be, then the Kelderman 2-Stage Rear Air Suspension System is finally the end of your search.

Optional Mechanical Self-Leveling Air Control System:
Designed for use with Kelderman's 2-Stage Rear Air Suspension Kits, Rear Coil Replacements, or Trailer applications, the Mechanical, Self-Leveling Air Control System takes the guesswork out of air suspension operation. With a 100% duty cycle VIAIR compressor, 3 gallon air tank, and a mechanical height control valve, this will allow your air suspension to inflate/deflate as needed to maintain the proper ride height. When loaded, the system will add more air to your air suspension to maintain proper operation. Looking for an easier hook-up to your trailers? The optional dump valve allows you to release all air pressure from the suspension for easier hook-up, loading, etc. An air dryer is also included to help eliminate moisture within the air control system.

An essential book on U.S. race and capitalism!
Format: Paperback
One of the most important books on race and capitalism ever written. Such a nuanced study of the California penal system that includes the racist structure of the United States’ criminal justice system, but goes far beyond to analyze how capitalism and profit drive politicians, police, investors, landowners, and working class people—white and Black—to expand the prison system in an age of dropping crime rates. I teach it regularly to undergraduates and graduate students, and it drives fascinating discussions.

Format: Paperback
If anyone has mastered the political economy and geography of prisons in California, it is Ruth Wilson Gilmore in Golden Gulag. Gilmore does a great job of discussing and parceling out the very complex and complicated relationships that exist between capitalism as a system that produces our material world alongside economic crises, and the function of prisons to absorb, manage, relocate and "hide" those very crises in the era of neoliberalism. She also skillfully reminds us over and over that it is black and brown working-class poor communities that bear the brunt of this kind of system that also expresses it's power via white supremacy. I am finding this book very useful and chock-full of interesting information for my current research. People may find the book a difficult read because it loaded with information and technicalities they are unfamiliar with, but these are good reasons to struggle with a text and truly grasp the increasingly intricate processes that determine and guide the world we live in (and the places we may end up locked in!). As Marx said, there is no royal road to science and knowledge.
