Care

As most of our pieces are costume jewellery made from sterling silver or brass, plated with 18ct rose gold, 18ct gold and rhodium, they need special looking after for you to enjoy the beauty for a longer period of time. Here’s a list of tips for you on how to care for your Astrid & Miyu jewellery.

Avoid water: Do not place next to heater, window, air conditioner or in the bathroom. Do not wear in the pool.


Avoid sweat: Remove jewellery when exercising, or any other demanding physical work, as sweating causes the jewellery to tarnish.


Storing in our original boxes or pouches is the best way to keep your jewellery. A zip plastic bag is a great alternative if no longer have the packaging.

Avoid cosmetics: Apply scents or cosmetics before you put on your jewellery. Perfumes and lotions will tarnish the jewellery.

Wow! I love that this book was written by a licensed professional counselor! I love that I’m familiar with this author’s other books which I own and have read. I love that this book addresses so many emotions a child will have! My favorite is “Jealous” because she perfectly depicts a birthday party and we all know that siblings can easily become jealous over all the attention, the gifts, the cake… The pictures pair beautifully with the words/emotions. I also love the emotion “Peaceful” because when you look at the illustrations of the water and floating on a tube while your hand is resting in the water and you are gently kicking your feet, that looks and feels peaceful and I know my child can relate to that. This is a very easy to understand book. I loved that each emotion was on two pages and you didn’t need to turn the page, it was all there for you to process and read. The entire explanation of the emotion was a simple way for my child to grasp the concept and give simple choices on how to deal with the emotion. For me including God in the equation was awesome and important and that was also simple and easy to understand.
