Are you ready to take your longarm quilting to the next level? This day is tailor‑made for longarm owners who want to build confidence, sharpen technique, and get even more joy out of their machine.

You’ll be learning from Handi Quilter National Educator Patti Towers, who brings expert techniques, clear instruction, and tons of practical know‑how. Lana will guide you through foundational skills, smart strategies, and confidence‑boosting tips that make longarm quilting feel approachable, efficient, and fun.

Whether you already own a machine or you’ve been eyeing that dreamy upgrade, this skill‑building day is for you.

Morning Session: Brilliant Borders, Bold Blocks & Beautiful Backgrounds

Blocks, backgrounds, and borders – these are the basic components of many pieced quilt tops, and there are tricks to quilting them with a cohesive overall look, while creating your own personal style. Learn how to select and adapt designs to complement each area, and how to accomplish the quilting efficiently and easily. Tried-and-true fillers and “go-to” designs will be featured.

Afternoon Session: Fabulous Feet for Fun Quilting

Have you ever wanted to break away from your basic quilting and really see what your longarm can do? You piece, quilt on unique fabric, apply binding to your quilts, and a lot of other great time saving techniques on your longarm. Find out what your longarm can really do and get ready to get more projects done.

About Patti Towers

Patti has been quilting for over 20 years and began longarm quilting in 2014. A former paralegal, she now teaches ProStitcher and ProStitcher Designer both in person and online, sharing her belief that longarm quilting is fun and approachable.

Her work was featured in the 2023 AQS Show in Grand Rapids. Patti lives in Traverse City, Michigan, and enjoys reading, traveling, and time at the beach when she’s not quilting.
