H&S Motorsports Dual High Pressure Fuel Kit with CP3 11-16 6.6L DuramaxThe potential of the LML Duramax to deliver unreal power has been proven. The potential of the LML Duramax to deliver unreal power has been proven. Simple programming and exhaust modifications have pushed these engines well past the 500 RWHP mark with ease. And as diesel enthusiasts typically do, the limits are being pushed to see what kind of power can be pulled from these trucks. One of the limitations found is the factory CP4 injection pump. While this has shown (so far) to be a reliable pump, it's also shown to be essentially a bottleneck. When trucks are pushed above the 500 horsepower mark, the additional power gains begin to diminish due largely in part to the lack of rail pressure. Because of this, HS Motorsports has developed a dual pump system to cure this issue, and deliver enough fueling to support 900+ horsepower!

Just as a quick reference for you diesel nuts out there, the engineers at HS Performance were able to run 3800us (not recommended) of main injection duration on stock injectors without a drop in rail pressure. So what does that mean? Well, think about it this way; their off-the-shelf HOT tune commands around 1400us and is on the verge of draining the rail on a stock CP4-equipped truck. At 3800us, that is a 270% increase in fuel demand from their HOT tune and limit of the stock CP4. The HS Motorsports Dual High Pressure Fuel Kit was able to maintain the commanded 29,000 PSI rail pressure without skipping a beat.

One of the HUGE benefits to this system is that it includes a BRAND NEW CP3 from Bosch. That's right, BRAND NEW, not a remanufactured unit like many other companies utilize. The key to ensuring the longevity of any high pressure fuel pump is by providing the high pressure fuel system with clean, waterless diesel fuel. Any fuel contamination that reaches the high pressure fuel system can be detrimental to reliability and performance. Because of this, we highly recommend using a FASS, AirDog or similar lift pump for proper filtration and water-separation.

Why does HS use a CP3 in instead of a CP4?

There are a few reasons they chose the CP3 over the CP4:
  • The CP3 pump has been proven to be reliable. This pump technology has been used on the Cummins and Duramax platform for years.
  • While the CP4 has the capability of delivering higher pressures, it lacks the volume of the CP3. With both pumps installed, you get the best of both worlds - high pressure and high volume.
  • Price. With the CP4 being a newer pump, it is obviously more expensive. By saving on the pumps included with the kit, we can pass that savings directly on to the customer.
  • If your fueling demands exceed what the stock CP3 and CP4 are capable of providing, one of HS' 6.7L Cummins 10MM Stroker pumps can easily be used as a replacement while still being able to re-use all fittings and lines included with the kit.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
  • This product will NOT work with trucks that have dual alternators. The HS Motorsports CP3 pump is mounted where a dual alternator would be located.
  • This product may not work with the EGR cooler installed. It may need to be removed.
  • This product MUST be used in conjunction with custom tuning calibration. Failure to install the correct calibrations can result in engine damage.

Greatest watch I've ever had, but changing batteries is near impossible
Color: Black/Blue
This is the 3rd time I've bought this watch. Same brand, same or very similar model. It has a chronometer, timer, alarm, and of course the clock. It has something I think is for "occasions" but I don't know what it does and don't really care about it. The watch is durable. It uses battery power efficiently. The indiglo is second to none. I just really really like this watch. Having said all that, if you want to change the batteries, good luck, you'll need it. Once you manage to get the backing off of it and open it up (which is a little tricky in itself), it's like a comedy routine where you see some stooge open an electrical device and a buncha parts and springs go flying everywhere. And of course, they are so tiny, you'll never find them once they fly out. That was the exact scenario I found myself in the last time I tried to change the battery. It made me so mad I actually bought another brand of watch that I thoroughly researched. But that watch DIDN'T use battery power efficiently, and it had a host of other minor problems that added up to the conclusion that it was not nearly as great as this Timex. So, for the 3rd time, I found myself buying this Timex watch. So it's a wonderful watch in every way except longevity because changing the batteries has historically been a nightmare for me.

A better Ironman design
Color: Black/Blue
I've been a fan of Timex watches for most of my life, paying about $30 for one in the 1960s, and that hasn't changed at all in 2010 because I'm still paying about $30 for my Timex watches. It is a rare case indeed when the quality of a product continually improves over several decades while the price remains the same. And as John Cameron Swayze would say in those live ads during the early years of TV, "Timex takes a lickin and keeps on tickin". The MEGA deserves a good review after I have been using it for a while. You might also see it advertized as the "Oversize" because most distinctive about this design is its size, so tagging it with the name MEGA is entirely justified. It is massive in comparison to most of the other Ironman series of watches, and what seemed at first to be just another unnecessary Ironman 30 Lap design has turned out to be one of my favorites for all-around wearing. This new design keeps the clockworks of the standard size 30 Lap Ironman watches, it counts up and down, programs the same, has several alarms, and of course, it has the Indigo night light that works so well. This is one of five different versions of the Mega available in the USA, and the only one with a Fastwrap Velcro wristband with blue striping and a matching blue bezel. Velcro wristbands are a favorite among many athletes and when it wears out, it can be replaced with either an identical factory band or one that is made of urethane rubber. Overall, the Mega is a good choice for runners in need of a new 30 lap Ironman who can appreciate having a watch that is distinctively larger and what I would consider to be much better in appearances over the others of standard or mid size Ironman dimensions.
