In the mountainous forests of Oaxaca, Mexico, nearly 6,000 feet above sea level, grow truly exceptional coffees, unmatched in process and quality. Coffee plants here are cultivated amongst the native trees, offering ideal shade and conditions for these plants to thrive. Tomas Pinacho, our featured producer in Santa Cruz, Ozolotepec, works the first coffee farm ever started in the area, utilizing coffee trees planted by his father decades ago. Tomas is a pioneer in the region; one of the main contributors to the lot that comes out of this territory annually. He’s worked tirelessly in recent years to improve production quality on his farm, paving the way for other nearby producers to follow suit. Our team had the honor of traveling to Tomas’s farm in March of 2024.  


This coffee undergoes an extended ferment, before being washed and sun-dried on concrete patios. Tomas Pinacho is a crisp and sweet cup with notes of nectarine, vanilla, and pie crust.

Im on the search for a rug to go under my desk but man the patience I used to wait to find this chair truly was worth it. A total lesson on patience and biting when you find the right thing. I think it’s pretty sturdy too. But I’ll report back in a few months. At the moment nothing leads me to be suspicious of a less than long life for this chair.
