The Roland M-DC1 Dance Module, released in 1995, is a 1U rack-mounted sound module designed for electronic dance music production. It features a wide range of pre-loaded sounds and rhythms from classic Roland gear like the TR-909, TB-303, and SH-101, which are particularly useful for techno, house, and other dance genres. The module offers 226 preset patches, 16 drum kits, and 18 performance presets, all built around 8MB of ROM containing 255 PCM samples. These samples include drum machine sounds, synth patches, and vinyl-like noise, providing a distinctive retro aesthetic.

Though the M-DC1 offers robust multitimbral capabilities (8 parts with 28-note polyphony), it is largely a preset machine with limited on-board editing options. It has built-in effects like reverb, chorus, and delay, which apply to the overall output rather than individual patches

Condition:

• This is a used unit.

• This unit is in good condition for its age. It shows some general wear like marks, nicks and scratches and a bit of light oxidisation. Please see all photos. 

• This unit has been tested and is fully functional.

• Please be aware this unit is 100V. This means it MUST be used with a step-down transformer, not a travel adaptor. If you are unsure about this please let us know. We have some great, compatible step-downs for sale here. They are designed in Australia for use in Australia and can be run 24/7.

• If you purchase from outside Australia you may need a step-down transformer to use this unit. Please contact us if you need any help sourcing the correct product. 

• This unit uses a standard IEC cable. A Japanese IEC will be included for you to use with a step-down transformer.

• This sale is for the M-DC1 unit and Japanese IEC only. Nothing else is included in this sale.
